Intraoral CameraWe continually strive to provide our patients with the most current technology that will not only aid in diagnosis and treatment but will also serve to increase their understanding of their own dental health. Our intraoral camera is a tiny video camera with a probe shaped like a pen. The sterilized probe is moved inside your mouth, allowing a tooth-by-tooth video exam. You will see your teeth enlarged and in full color on a monitor right at chairside. Our doctors are able to freeze and store a picture of the inside of your mouth to allow a larger and clearer view and can then take an instant photograph to be kept in your records. The intraoral camera is completely painless and produces no radiation. It allows you to clearly see oral problems such as tooth decay, deteriorated fillings, fractured teeth, plaque, and inflamed or bleeding gums. Our intraoral camera lets our doctors see problem areas that might be missed by visual examination alone. It enables you to understand your dental needs by seeing what our doctors see as they see it. And it allows you monitor your progress along with us as your treatment proceeds. |
