Recently the health community has begun to learn that periodontal (gum) disease is related to many other health problems such as heart disease, diabetes, and low birth weight in infants. As time goes by, it becomes more and more clear how important your good oral health is to your good overall health.

Periodontal disease is a sinister and painless condition that can cause infection of the gums and the loosening and, ultimately, loss of the teeth if it is allowed to go untreated. While there are many factors which can cause periodontal disease or influence its progression, the main cause is bacteria in the form of the sticky, colorless plaque which constantly forms on your teeth and gums.

Through a variety of periodontal procedures, we treat the gums and bone — the tissues that support the teeth — and offer diagnosis and treatment of bite problems such as grinding and clenching.
